Ethiopian Airlines will increase frequency on service between Addis Ababa and Abuja, Nigeria from 3x per week to 5x per week effective June 15. N’djamena, Chad on the other hand will see an increase from the current 7x per week to 9x per week.

Ethiopian Airlines will serve Lome, Togo daily effective June 15 by rerouting 3x per week day-time service to Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire via Lome instead of Accra, Ghana. The other four daily flights will continue on to Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. The latter will see an increase in frequency from the current 3x per week service.

Accra will see a drop in frequency from the current 6x per week to 4x per week, with service continuing on to Monrovia, Liberia. The latter will see an increase in frequency from the current 3x per week to four.

Ethiopian Airlines will begin new service between Addis Ababa and Pointe Noire, DRC on June 16. Flights will operate 3x per week using B763 aircraft. Schedules have yet to be posted.

RwandAir has placed an order for two B738s from Boeing.

Effective March 29, SAS will place its code on Ethiopian Airlines’ service between Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and Stockholm, Sweden via Rome, Italy.

Ethiopian takes delivery of its first Q400 on order from Bombardier this weekend. The airline expects to take delivery of all eight aircraft of this type on order by the end of the year.

Effective June 14, Ethiopian will fly daily to Stockholm, Sweden via Rome, Italy.

Starting June 15, Ethiopian will serve Cairo, Egypt and Khartoum, Sudan separately, replacing the current nightly Addis-Khartoum-Cairo service. The new schedule will see Khartoum served nightly, while Cairo will see a 5x per week service
