New African routes for Yemenia
Yemenia intends to add new African destinations in the coming years, with Nairobi, Kenya and Dakar, Sénégal being cities of interest.
Highlights of Yemenia’s upcoming winter services into Africa
Yemenia’s winter schedule, which is set to take effect at the end of October, will see the following changes to its African services:
- Addis Ababa. Ethiopia will see an increase in service from the current 5x per week to 6x per week.
- Khartoum, Sudan will see a scale back in services from the current 3x per week to 2x per week. Flights will be operated on Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Asmara, Eritrea will see an increase in service to 5x per week with the introduction of flights on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
- Djibouti will see an increase in service from the current 5x per week to 6x per week.
Yemenia to increase Khartoum frequency
Yemenia is responding to increased demand to Khartoum by introducing a third weekly flight on Mondays.

Yemenia’s winter schedule highlights for Africa
Yemenia is making the following adjustments to flights it operates to Africa. Changes are set to take effect at the start of its winter schedule in early November.
- One of two weekly services to Johannesburg will be operated nonstop, a change from the existing two one-stop flights. The second flight will be operated via Moroni, Comoros. Both will be operated with A310s.
- Dar Es Salaam will get an increase in frequency, from the existing weekly to 2x per week, operated with B738s.
