Sudan Airways grounded briefly
Sudan’s aviation authorities grounded Sudan Airways on Monday citing administrative failures such as not updating operations manuals. The airline did however get a last minute reprieve on the condition that it will be subjected to another audit in two weeks.
Sudan Airways pulls out of Entebbe
Sudan Airways has reportedly pulled out of the Juba - Entebbe route.
Sudan Airways partially privatised
The government of Sudan has sold off parts of the national airline to Kuwait’s Aref Investment Group which will hold 49%, and Sudan based Al-Fiha company which in turn will hold 21% of the company. The government will retain the remaining 30%.
Sudan Airways to Muscat
Sudan Airways will start service between Khartoum, Sudan and Muscat, Oman to be operated between May 31 and August 31 on a triangle route with Al Ain, UAE. The flight will operate on Thursdays using AB3 aircraft.

Sudan Airways returns to Al Ain
Sudan Airways will return to Al Ain, UAE on April 5. The weekly flight will be operated nonstop on Thursdays using A310 aircraft.

Sudan Airways restarts previously discontinued services
Sudan Airways is resuming services to a number of cities in May and June:
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from Khartoum, Sudan started on May 17. Flights are operated once per week, leaving KRT on Tuesday night, returning early Wednesday mornings. A B732 is used on this route.

SD327 ADD - KRT: 0230 - 0400
Nairobi, Kenya will be added on June 1, operated once per week on Wednesdays. Flights will be operated with a B732 on Wednesdays, with a single stop at Juba, Sudan, like the Entebbe, Uganda flights that were resumed earlier this season.

Ndjamena, Chad will be added on May 28, operated once per week on Saturdays with an A310.
