Kenya Airways to return to Paris
Kenya Airways will resume services to Paris, France in June. Flights were disrupted in December because of a drop in passengers related to political unrest in Kenya.

Kenya Airways suspends Paris
Kenya Airways will from next week suspend its 3x per week service to Paris, France citing a deep decline in bookings related to recent unrest in Kenya.
Highlights of Kenya Airways’ summer operations
According to posted schedules, Kenya Airways’ summer operations (beginning July) will see the following changes:
- Addis Ababa, Ethiopia: 6x per week, up from the current four. The additional flights will leave Nairobi in the evening, operated by E170s
- Lagos, Nigeria: daily from the current five weekly (two leave Nairobi in the morning, the rest in the evening)
- Accra, Ghana: daily from the current six weekly
- Dubai, UAE: 2x daily from the current 11 weekly
- Bangkok, Thailand: 6x per week from the current three.
- Guangzhou, China: 5x per week, from the current four
- Hong Kong: 4x per week from the current three
Kenya Airways and China Southern Airlines to cooperate
Kenya Airways and China Southern Airlines, both affiliated with Skyteam, will cooperate on services between Nairobi, Kenya and Guangzhou, China and beyond their respective hubs.
Kenya Airways, which currently serves Guangzhou 4x per week, plans to increase its frequency to daily by April 2008 (via Dubai or a third country), and operate the route nonstop as of 2010.
Kenya Airways to increase frequency to Accra, Monrovia
Kenya Airways will increase frequencies in September to Accra, Ghana from the current 5x per week to 6x per week. Frequencies to Monrovia, Liberia will also be increased by one flight to 3x per week.
Kenya Airways to quit serving Istanbul
Kenya Airways will cease services to Istanbul, Turkey effective October 1.
Kenya Airways leases a B738
Kenya Airways signed a lease agreement with International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC) for a B738. This aircraft, scheduled for delivery in October 2008, is to replace the one KQ lost at Douala, Cameroon in May 2007.
Kenya Airways to increase service to Istanbul, Seychelles
Kenya Airways will increase service to Istanbul, Turkey and Seychelles effective March 27 as follows:
- One additional weekly flight to Istanbul on Wednesdays, bringing the total to three
- One additional weekly flight to Seychelles on Tuesdays, bringing the total to three
Kenya Airways to start service to Cotonou
Kenya Airways will start service to Cotonou, Bénin effective March 27. This city was initially set to be served via Brazzaville as of October 2006, but service to both cities was canceled. Flights will be operated twice per week on Tuesdays and Saturdays using B737 aircraft.

Kenya Airways to Monrovia, increase Accra
Posted schedules show that Kenya Airways is set to start services between Nairobi and Monrovia, Liberia, effective the end of March. Flights will be operated on Wednesdays and Saturdays using B73W aircraft via Accra, Ghana.

This new flight also increases services to Accra from the current 4x per week to 5x.
Kenya Airways adds fourth flight to Bamako & Dakar
Kenya Airways will add a fourth weekly flight to Bamako & Dakar effective February 3. The new flight will operate on Saturdays out of Nairobi, returning on Sunday.
Three more B787s for Kenya Airways
Kenya Airways has placed an order for three additionall B788s from Boeing, bringing its total order for the type to nine.
Kenya Airways to lease E170s
Kenya Airways has signed the lease of three Embraer E170s from GECAS in order to replace its SAAB-340s. The aircraft, which will be delivered from May 2007, will be configured for 72 passengers at 32″ pitch.
Kenya Airways receives first B738
Kenya Airways has taken delivery of its first B738. The aircraft, registered 5Y-KYA, was delivered via London Heathrow.
Kenya Airways to start service to Dzaoudzi, Moroni
According to published timetables, Kenya Airways is to start service to the islands of Mayotte and the Comoros, situated in the Atlantic Ocean. Flights will be operated to Dzaoudzi and Comoroes three times per week using B73G aircraft.

Kenya Airways suspends launch to Brazzaville
Kenya Airways suspended the launch of services to Brazzaville, Congo at the last minute citing the inability of authorities in Kenya and their counterparts in the Congo to come to a Bilateral Air Service Agreement. Flights were to have started on Friday, and continued on to Cotonou, Bénin.
Kenya Airways schedules to Brazaville, Cotonou loaded
The reported interest in Brazaville, DRC and Cotonou, Benin by Kenya Airways has materialized into two flights each to the cities effective the begining of October. Flights will be operated to Cotonou on Tuesdays and Fridays via Brazaville using B733s.

Air France to codeshare with Kenya Airways
Air France is set to codeshare with Kenya Airways on the latter’s soon to be inaugurated flights between Nairobi, Kenya and Paris, France. Flights will be operated 3x per week.
Kenya Airways and Malaysia Airlines in codeshare talks
According to news reports, Kenya Airways and Malaysia Airlines are in codeshare talks which is expected to be implemented before the year ends. Kenya Airways already codeshares with Korean Air on the Bangkok-Seoul route.
Kenya Airways to codeshare with Turkish Airlines
Kenya Airways and Turkish Airlines have signed a codeshare agreement that will see the latter placing its code on KQ’s 3x per week flights between Nairobi and Istanbul. Furthermore, the agreement allows for KQ to increase its frequency to 5x per week.
Kenya Airways adds a B763 to its fleet
Kenya Airways last week added a seventh B763 to its fleet. The aircraft will be used to boost capacity and frequency to its existing network, including Guangzhou, China.
Kenya Airways indicates interest in Cotonou, Brazzaville
Business in Africa reports that Kenya Airways has indicated that it would start services to Cotonou, Benin and Brazzaville, Congo before the end of the year. No schedules or specific start of service date have been announced.

Kenya Airways this week returned to Yaoundé, Cameroon with four flights per week that are operated as part of a triangle route with Douala. Flights are operated on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Kenya Airways indicates interest in Brazzaville, Delhi
Kenya Airways, while reporting record annual profits, indicated that along with its start of service to Paris this year, is considering adding service to Brazzaville, Congo and Delhi, India.
