Cameroon’s government abandons sale of Camair

Cameroon’s government has abandoned the sale of a majority stake in Camair to a group led by SN Brussels Airlines. It will instead launch a new tender for a new strategic partner.

Cameroon Airlines banned from French skies

The French authorities have banned Cameroon Airlines from flying into France, saying Cameroon Airlines had failed to respect safety standards on handling dangerous materials, navigation documents and tire maintenance.

Update: following the suspension, Air France halted its flights saying “some ground assistance services at the airport in Douala could not be guaranteed.” Following discussions between officials from both countries however, both airlines have now resumed services to and from Paris, with Cameroon Airlines operating using chartered aircraft.
