Sénégal’s government to retake control of Air Sénégal

Sénégal’s government will retake control of its flag carrier Air Sénégal International in a move that will see it holding 75% of the company, while Royal Air Maroc will retain 25%. Since 2001, the government held 49% while RAM held the rest.

Air Sénégal International and SN Brussels sign codeshare

Air Sénégal International and SN Brussels have signed a codeshare agreement for Air Sénégal to place its code on flights operated by SN Brussels between Dakar and Brussels. SN operates flights between the two cities 6x per week using A333s. The agreement takes effect on December 1.

Air Sénégal to increase Milan services

Air Sénégal will increase its frequency to Milan, Italy from its hub in Dakar to 3x per week, from the current 2x. The new flights will maintain the existing schedule, and will take effect December 16.

Air Senegal International adds a B73W

Air Senegal International has added a brand new Boeing 73W to its fleet, complementing a fleet of two other 737-700s, one 737-500 and one Dash 8 Q 300. The aircraft will operate on regional as well as routes to France.
