Air Canada to codeshare with Lufthansa on service to Algiers

Air Canada has received the necessary clearance from the Canadian Transportation Authority to serve Algiers, Algeria through codeshare on flights operated by Star Alliance partner Lufthansa. The permit allows the airline to offer such service as early as October 29.

Following recent agreements between the governments of Canada and Algeria, Air Algerie has indicated that it would serve Montreal from its hub in Algiers twice per week, although no official timetables are set. Air Canada on the other hand intends to start up service through codeshare with one of its European partners.
