Kenya Airways looking into Dakha, Bangladesh

Kenya Airways has reportedly submitted an application to authorities in Bangladesh for new service to Dakha, Bangladesh via Dubai, UAE.

    Why Bangladesh? Kenya Airways can’t surely jump the gun and choose it over Delhi, Jeddah or other under serviced african routes?

    I believe KQ has been working on securing landing rights to New Delhi but no luck so far.

    Dhaka? No idea but it made sense when the gulf was booming (immigrant/expat workers in the mid-east) as long as they had 5th freedom rights from Dubai. Today? No idea but doesn’t make sense unless (a big maybe) they code-share.

    On the other hand, getting permission to fly to Dhaka & actually flying there are 2 different things!
