Delta receives approval from DOT to serve Dakar, Johannesburg
On February 27, the US Department of Transportation gave Atlanta-based Delta Airlines the green light to start services to Dakar, Sénégal and Johannesburg, South Africa effective December 4. This approval allocates 7 weekly frequencies to Delta out of 21 that are available to US carriers wishing to serve South Africa.
Presently, South African Airways is the only airline linking the US to South Africa and Sénégal.
