Air Namibia leases two Airbus A340s
Air Namibia is leasing two Airbus A343s to replace the current MD11s leased for European services. The latter were leased in order to replace the airline’s sole B744-Combi which was sold off as part of a plan unveiled last year. The 340s are to be brought in from Lufthansa’s current fleet, with the first one set for delivery at the begining of December, and in the third quarter of 2006. They will be configured identically, with 44 Business and 234 Economy class seats.
